Boudoir Wedding Photography in New York
Exfoliate your skin the day before your shoot to ensure your complexion is smooth and silky. False eyelashes make your eyes pop on film, and they create a dramatic bedroom look when topped with black eyeliner.
Give your cheeks a bit of suggestive flush with a cheek stain. Make your lips look super plush by lining them with a pencil close to your natural lip color and filling in with a shiny gloss.
Do not forget a manicure and pedicure. Chipped or dull nails can ruin an otherwise perfect look.
If you do not have a tan, consider getting a light spray tan or using self-tanner several days prior to your shoot. A darker skin tone can help hide a multitude of common body issues, including cellulite and varicose veins.
If you have medium-to-long hair, wear it down during your boudoir shoot. Shiny, cascading hair looks sexy and will give you lots of ways to pose: Running your fingers through it, twirling it innocently or fanning it out over a pillow are just a few ideas. Short hair can look alternately spunky and sophisticated. Try out different styles during your shoot for a fun contrast of your multiple sexy sides.
What you wear right before your shoot is just as important as what you wear during the session. Arrive in loose clothing with no elastic bands, tight seams or anything else that could leave pressure marks on your body.Select lingerie and other items of clothing that are form-fitting. Loose or draped clothing does not photograph well in a boudoir session. Look for matching bra-and-panty sets, snug tank tops, boy shorts, thigh-high stockings, flirty nighties, athletic jerseys of your fiancée’s favorite team or even one of his dress shirts worn with bikini bottoms. Don’t forget the shoes. Bring at least one pair of high heels with you, preferably black.
Some photographers have special sets in their studios for boudoir photography. Other photographers shoot on location only. If this is the case, you could shoot in your home or the home of a friend. Ideally many women choose to rent a room in an upscale hotel for the shoot. Wherever you choose, make sure the room is uncluttered and simple, and the bedding or upholstery is neutral.
Getting Ready For Your BoudoirNY Boudoir Photo Session
Set a date for when you want to take sexy pictures. Give yourself at least a week to be prepared for it. That may seem like more time than you need, but if you are rushing to get everything together at the last minute, it will be stressful. Stress is bad when you are trying to take pictures that showcase your beauty.
Decide what you are going to wear. Total nudity is not a requirement, sometimes it’s what you can’t see that really makes a great photo. Showing just the side of your breast, or the curve of your buttocks can be very erotic. Lingerie or cute costumes are lots of fun, but if you don’t have much on hand, a simple sheet draped strategically across your naughtiest parts is all you really need.
Once you know what you’re wearing, you can choose makeup. Youtube has some wonderful makeup tutorials that can give you tips and show you exactly how to achieve the look you want. Pick something simple if you don’t have much experience with makeup. Practice your look until you are sure that you can recreate it easily before your photo shoot.
Practice your facial expressions in the mirror. Think of different keywords, such as happy, and then make a happy face. Repeat with surprised, pouty, devious, excited, sexy, and any other moods you can think of. Watch how your face looks when you think about that word and remember which ones are most flattering and sexy on you.
Grooming should be done the night before. File and paint your nails. (Remember, you can always touch them up the next day if you need to.) Pluck your eyebrows. The don’t have to be perfectly sculpted or stick thin. If you’ve never done it before just pluck out the hairs that are obviously growing out of place, the ones between your eyes or noticeably above or below your brow. Take a relaxing bath and shave all of the parts you need to shave.
Get a good night’s sleep. It’s important to be well rested, so you won’t have dark circles under your eyes or look tired in the photos.
Step 7 Most important!
During the photo shoot, relax! Have fun with it, don’t be afraid to get a little silly. It’s easier to look sexy and happy when you actually FEEL sexy and happy. Don’t worry too much about the outcome right now, you practiced your looks so think about those keywords and play it up for the camera.
